• In 2004, Statens Karteverk hands electronic map distribution to Ugland IT-group
• Ugland IT-group decides it is not profitable to sell maps of remote areas of Norway in electronic form
• So they stop providing them
• Unfortunately, the Red Cross Mountain Rescue team was using those maps to guide rescue efforts via GPS
• Now the Red Cross can't get new or updated copies of these maps
• Human lives are at stake
